Kern County Genealogical Society
HomeAbout Us
Kern County Genealogical Society was established in 1964.  The society currently serves over 100 members and is active and involved in the community.  KCGS is dedicated to remembering and making connections to the past and the families who came before us.  Our members ancestors have all contributed to the social and economic development of Kern County and our country.  Perhaps your ancestors were here.  Remember their stories and their lives; and pass on their histories by joining the Kern County Genealogical Society.
The society offers a free monthly program highlighting research techniques and local history.
Programs are held the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 1:00 PM at Beale Memorial Library, 701 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, CA  93301
